Continuing Education Information:

 

Unless noted otherwise, all workshops are being sponsored by the Greater Pittsburgh Psychological Association (GPPA). The GPPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  The GPPA maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

6 Continuing Education Units (CEU) will be offered to psychologists.  Professionals licensed under the PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors can also use credits provided by APA-approved sponsors. Full attendance is required to receive CEU credit; partial credit will not be given.  CE certification is free to GPPA members, and is an additional fee of $15.00 to non-GPPA members.  Please specify in your registration if you would like CE credits.

Mindfulness classes and workshops are offered through the Keystone Mindfulness Practice Center, located at the Center for Counseling Arts, Group Room, 1201 South Braddock Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15218. Mindfulness retreats and training are additionally offered throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

Your First Visit

Prior to your first visit.

It is important that you contact your health insurance company prior to your appointment to be informed of your behavioral health co-payment or co-insurance. Payments are due at the time of service. Checks, cash, and credit cards are accepted. Receipts are available at your request.

What to bring to your first visit.

Bring your insurance card and a copy of any relevant records.

What to expect at your first visit.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the time of your scheduled appointment to complete paperwork. The paperwork will be on a clipboard with your name in the waiting room. Dr. Hammond Holtz will come out to greet you at the time of your appointment.

The office is located in the Kenmawr building at 401 Shady Avenue, located at the corner of Walnut and Shady Avenue.  Parking is available on the street. The building sits back from the street corner and has glass doors at the entrance.

Please enter through the lobby. A doorman will be there to greet you. The office is located on the second floor, Office B-207. Take the elevator to the second floor, bear right off the elevator and make a left down the B wing. The office is the last one on the right hand side. Dr. Hammond Holtz' name is on the office door.
